Free Software Tool
The EDGE App is accessible to anyone for free. You can use it to design green buildings or plan a retrofit strategy. You can compare your building to the local average, which is calculated using IFC data, and identify the most cost-effective way to increase your sustainability credentials.
Green Building Standard
You can achieve the EDGE standard by reducing resource intensity (energy, water, and embodied carbon) by a minimum of 20%, when compared to a local standard. At 40% reduction, you can achieve the EDGE Advanced certification, which is the prerequisite for achieving an EDGE Zero Carbon certification.
Green building certification
You can achieve and receive an EDGE certification when you prove that your building is quantifiably green and performs above the average. You can use the EDGE certification to build credibility in your sustainability claims with investors, customers, and partners.
